Directing a Project

Details:

Carried out by the Project Board Directing a Project is to:

Ø     authorise the commitment of resources to a project

Ø     ensure Risks are managed

Ø     ensure objectives are being met, as laid out in the Business Case

Ø     make decisions required by the Project Manager regarding the project

Ø     direct, if necessary, a project into premature closure

Ø     ensure a clean, orderly closure to a project

Ø     responsibility lies with the Project Board

Ø     DP1 Authorising Initiation

Ø     DP2 Authorising a Project

Ø     DP3 Authorising a Stage or Exception Plan

Ø     DP4 Giving ad hoc Direction
